This policy covers this website, niota.in, and how Niota Fintech Private Limited(“Niota”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal data in connection with it. “You” means any person who visits this site.

It does not cover our Android apps. Each app has its own policy on its own site. For the Niota app see niota.trade/privacy. For IPONex see iponex.com/privacy.

We are the data fiduciary for the processing described here under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

The short version

• This website has no accounts, no sign-up and no login.
• Nothing that tracks you loads until you say yes. If you decline, or ignore the prompt, no analytics run at all.
• We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers or use it for advertising.
• The only thing we store in your browser is your answer to the consent prompt.

What we collect

Analytics, only with your consent

If you accept the consent prompt, we load Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and roughly where visitors come from. It is configured with IP anonymisation. Until you accept, the analytics script is never requested, so no analytics cookie or identifier is created.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which removes the stored answer and brings the prompt back.

Your consent choice

We store one value in your browser's local storage recording whether you accepted or declined analytics. It stays on your device, it is not an identifier, and it is never sent to us. Without it we would have to ask you on every page.

Server logs

Like any web server, ours records requests it serves. A log line contains the IP address the request came from, the time, the page requested, the response status and the browser's user-agent string. We use these only to keep the site up and to investigate abuse or errors, we do not build profiles from them, and we keep them only as long as they are useful for those purposes.

Email you send us

If you write to support@niota.in we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message, and we keep the correspondence so we can follow up. Please do not send passwords, broker credentials or payment details by email. We will never ask for them.

What we do not collect

This website has no account system, so we hold no name, phone number, date of birth, PAN, bank detail or broker credential from your use of it. We run no advertising network, no social media pixel and no session-recording or heatmap tool.

Who we share it with

Google, as the provider of Google Analytics, and only if you consented. Beyond that we share personal data only where the law requires it, for example a valid order from a court or a lawful request from a government authority.

We do not sell personal data to anyone, under any circumstances.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal data of yours we hold and how we have used it
• correct or complete anything inaccurate
• erase it, where we have no lawful reason to keep it
• withdraw a consent you previously gave
• nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated

Write to support@niota.in and we will respond. In practice, for most visitors to this site the honest answer is that we hold nothing about you beyond a server log line. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

Where your data is processed

This site is served from infrastructure in India. Google Analytics, if you consent to it, processes data on Google's infrastructure, which is outside India.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles personal data, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
